Some of us heard Purity Ring for the first time back at CMJ at one of Brooklynvegan’s day showcases. It was still the middle of the party, but as soon as the band made their way up to the stage, you could see the crowd shifting forward from the back room and pool area to see what the array of lights and colors had in store. The duo put on one of the most memorable shows of CMJ 2011, and we were happy to have them return to celebrate their signing to the always consistent 4AD. We know they will continue 4AD’s legacy of excellence, and in coming months as the new album comes together, if they want anywhere to preview the tracks or celebrate the release, we’ll be available
