:: Oval ::
Oval is Markus Popp and (along with Sebastian Oschatz and Frank Metzger) is regarded as a pioneer of glitch, a genre of music that embraces the sound of damaged audio produced by the failure of digital equipment. Oval has deliberately mutilated CDs by writing on them with felt pens, had finches play the guitar, and as The Stool Pigeon put it, “To call Oval an electronic music pioneer is like saying James Joyce ‘kinda did things with novels.’

:: Oneohtrix Point Never ::
Oneohtrix Point Never is the recording name of Brooklyn-based syth-lord Daniel Lopatin, whose album Returnal was released by Editions Mego, a prior collection of EPs title Rifts also came out on the legendary No Fun label. Dan has word with Antony, co-runs the Software imprint under Mexican Summer, and recently performed at Animal Collective's All Tomorrow's Parties. "... unusually original, which is a word you don't get to use so often." says Pitchfork.

Cincinnati native C. Spencer Yeh has been releasing records under the Burning Star Core moniker since 1993. A classically trained violinist, Yeh is the center of the amorphous free noise group whose past collaborators have included: Comets on Fire, Hototogisu, Chris Corsano and Thurston Moore.
