After having obliterated New York City down to its rotten core over the past few years, Brooklyn-based defenders of true metal NATUR are seeking to unleash their signature brand of no-bullshit heavy steel onto the world via legendary English label EARACHE RECORDS. The band, which is comprised of Weibust on guitars and vocals, The Mexicutioner on low-end bass assault, lead electric guitar Dino Destroyer and drummer Tooth, are on a mission to destroy false metal—and they are hell-bent on doing so. One listen to their self-released demo (which saw the light of day in the fall of 2009) and 2010’s “Spider Baby” 7-inch single and it should be pretty obvious the group worships at the altar of Seventies and Eighties heavy metal gods and are not willing to submit to the trends, distractions and irony of modern music. Take the dynamic riffing of early Mercyful Fate, epic arrangements of Seventies-Judas Priest and Manilla Road, the ingenious and quirky storytelling of Roky Erickson and the attitude of classic Motörhead and you’ll get NATUR: True defenders of the faith in this dark, modern age! The band has already become a staple in the live music scene in New York City opening for bands such as Ghost, Aura Noir, and Toxic Holocaust. They have pillaged the American East and West Coasts and made their mark in London at the Live Evil Festival, sharing the stage with the mighty Angel Witch amongst others.
