Hatchet Job is a monthly series at Public Assembly in which poets of all persuasions kick the tires and light the fires in a black room. It costs nothing.
Friends, join us for Hatchet Job III, featuring Allyson Paty, Mark Leidner, Ariana Reines, and Michael Dickman.
Allyson Paty's chapbook, The Further Away, was recently published by [sic] Detroit. Her work has appeared in Tin House, The Awl, DIAGRAM, InDigest, Boxcar Review, and elsewhere.
Mark Leidner is the author of The Angel in The Dream of Our Hangover, a book of aphorisms, and Beauty was the Case that They Gave Me, a book of poems.
Ariana Reines is the author of The Cow, Couer di Lion, Save the World, and Mercury. Telephone, her play commissioned by New York’s Foundry Theatre in 2009, was named one of the year’s best by the New York Times and the New Yorker and won two Obies.
