houston.atlanta.memphis (H.A.M.) is an ode to the personalities and sounds of Southern Hip Hop. H.A.M. is the expression of love for swagger, cadence, charisma, grit, joy, poetry, sound, movement, Gucci, Lil Boosie, La Chat, Houston, Atlanta, Memphis, NOLA, Trap, Swag, Snap, CRUNK, Bump and Bass. H.A.M. is about discovering the new and paying recognition to the greatness of past creation originating in Southern Rap music. DJ Helen Harris and Artist Adam Radakovich created the event H.A.M. to offer a space for under-served fans to hear the Down South Rap music they craved. While H.A.M. is driven by the bass and aggression of Southern sounds, we still promote family and positivity. H.A.M. is an uplifting space that welcomes all people from all walks of life. The main objective of H.A.M. is to build community through sharing the music we love. The team is dedicated to building the H.A.M. family by inviting DJs, emerging artists and established legends of the South to share their talent with their distinctive NYC fan base. While NYC is arguably the cultural capital of the world, music artist from the American South are hugely underrepresented here. Even established artists lack opportunity to perform in New York City. In most cases they are bound to a present day "Chitlin Circuit" touring throughout South Eastern and Midwestern Cities where Southern African-American culture is the dominant culture. We strive to bridge that gap with H.A.M.
