DAYTONA - 8.30
Daytona are Hunter Simpson (guitar, pedals) and Christopher Lauderdale (drums) and Jose Boyer (bass). Everybody sings. The L Magazine have affirmed that Daytona are one of the Brooklyn bands that you "need to hear." You could compare them to Vampire Weekend, but Daytona is much looser and more languid, while exploring a similar love of South African guitar and world rhythms, or they might remind you of what MGMT's early records would have sounded like with more organic production choices."
