Dig this. On March 12, New York City’s Hunters & Runners are going to unleash their debut album, Of Classic Renown, and it is going to command your attention from the moment the first sound wave dances from your speakers and wraps itself comfortably around your soul. The band, which consists of vocalists Brady Oh and Liam Farrell, bassist Zach Rubinfeld, and drummer Ryan Raichilson, has built a strong following since March 2009 when they began filling popular New York City venues such as Arlene’s Grocery and The National Underground. They have become notorious for concocting contagiously-catchy rock songs that sweat elements of reggae, country, punk, and indie.

Future Ghosts hopes to blur the line between alternative song writing and pop sensibilities. Influenced by alternative bands like Brand New, The Dear Hunter and Manchester Orchestra, as well as pop rock icons such as Switchfoot, Foo Fighters and Jimmy Eat World, Future Ghosts blends off-kilter aggression with unexpected hooks to create a brooding rock sound with sudden bursts of emotion.

The Oats are an indie rock band, formed in 2008. The band consists of Andrés Mora (Guitar & Vocals), Alfonso Rodríguez (Bass), Oscar Brena(Drums) and Armando Vega (Guitar & Vocals). Via Myspace they released some songs that caught the attention of their producer arm4ndo (Niña, Quiero Club, Chicote). Together they just have finished the recording of their first EP titled "Smokin Smokings". It was recorded in Mexico by arm4ndo, mixed in Los Angeles by Carlos Castro and arm4ndo (Molotov, Brian "Head" Welch) and mastered in New York by Howie Weinberg (Nirvana, Smashing Pumpkins) in 2010. Listening to The Oats you can clearly hear their influences, such as The Libertines, Arctic Monkeys, Blur, Kasabian and Travis, for example.
