THE INSIDERS

Over the past decade, Ben Payne and Joe Wills aka The Insiders have released music on some of the most respected labels in the drum & bass scene. Tracks have appeared on Renegade Recordings, Metalheadz, Creative Source, 31 Records, Defunked, Nu Directions, Integral, Frontline and Good Looking (as Catch 22) amongst many others.

Their tracks have featured in the boxes of names like Fabio, LTJ Bukem, Goldie, Storm, A.I., Lynx and DJ Marky, as well as receiving airplay on BBC Radio 1. In 2009 Ben (Soundscape) set up Intrigue Music, a record label for their own deeper brand of drum n bass as well as material from new and established producers.

DJ appearances have included Miami WMC, Glastonbury Festival, Sun & Bass and Bristol Festival as well as dates throughout the world including the USA, Canada, Japan, Germany, Norway, France, Holland, Italy, Poland and Switzerland. Their main residency is the renowned drum & bass club Intrigue in their hometown of Bristol.

Recent releases include ‘Many Things’ from Ben Soundscape & Random Movement (Intrigue006), ‘Limelight’ (Intrigue007), ‘All the Way’ on Prestige Music and their remix of Flaco’s ‘Choose Me’ for Rubik. In the coming months there are tracks due on Creative Source, Mac II and of course Intrigue Music. Also look out for Ben’s new solo productions with Raw Q, Superior Selectionz, Random Movement, Bachelors of Science, Will Miles, Stereotype and Sopheye.
