Sondra's solo album took a year to make and a year to finally get released. She's having a record release show Wed Nov 14th at Public Assembly in Williamsburg. It will be the first show w/ a full band plus string section! The album will be available for purchase (though it doesn't officially release til Nov 20th) With the lovely CC Carana opening and smokin' Bee and Flower closing out the night.

Sondra Sun-Odeon is a Brooklyn-based singer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist who is the voice and half the songwriting force behind psych-rock band Silver Summit, whose first release was on Language of Stone/Drag City. An upcoming solo release includes collaborations with Helena Espvall (of Espers), Leyna Marika Papach (Carla Bouzalich, JG Thirlwell's Manorexia), and percussion by Ben McConnell (Beach House, Brightblack Morning Light, Marissa Nadler), and is being co-produced, engineered/recorded by Jeff Cook.

NYC/Berlin-based Bee and Flower is led by the smoky-voiced singer/bassist/songwriter Dana Schechter. The group specializes in twisted, yet catchy melodies, heartbreaking swoons, and a fierce, dark sonic tableaux. Haunting piano, vocals, strings, percussion, bass and drums creates a distinctive and powerful mix of transcendent beauty and fierce rawness. The band members themselves have worked in projects like Angels of Light, American Music Club, Keren Ann, Tarnation, Bertrand Burgalat, April March, Martin Gallop, And the Wiremen, Botanica, and more.
