THE CAPSTAN SHAFTS
The Capstan Shafts is the musical project of American lo-fi artist Dean Wells. The music features a full-band sound of guitars, bass and drums, all of which were previously played by Wells. His recent album Her Versus The Sad Cold Eventually, has led to an upsurge in media interest surrounding The Capstan Shafts; the album was given very favorable reviews on Pitchfork Media.
After a prolific output of recorded material since 1999 (his total output amounts to ten EPs and seven full-length albums), The Capstan Shafts are currently recording a new album as a five piece, and playing handfuls of shows on the east coast after SXSW this year.

USVS
The music of Brooklyn's USVS is an eclectic, genre-bending journey into pop, rock, shoe-gaze, harrowing walls of sound, hypnotic and driving rhythm and bass. Cosmic and brooding, yet viscerally powerful, USVS has been an evolving sound starting 2002, and with vocalist/guitarist Dave Yang providing “noise management” to soaring themes of guitarist Matt Haar, the sound is complemented by complex and intricate rhythms of drummer Daniel Benjamin and bassist Max Kimbrel.
With a live show that is at once ethereal and direct in sound and scope, USVS self-released a test EP in early 2008 that combined cascading climaxes with quiet intensity. After a string of shows in local venues over the last year, 2010 currently sees USVS in the midst of recording their first album.

LAME DRIVERS
Originated in New Jersey, truly formed in Providence, RI 2004, born again in New York.
In summer 2009, Lame Drivers morphed into a 3-piece and is now leaner, darker, and more psychedelic. "You do more...with less" says Gerard.
Younger Lame Drivers stuff was compared to a "dirty mix of Replacements/Stooges-influenced pop", "like a young Replacements or Guided By Voices", "like the Buzzcocks getting a reacharound from the Descendents," "rock hard in Jesus & Mary Chain fashion". Lame Drivers have played shows in 10 states with the likes of Flipper, Kurt Vile, Oxford Collapse, The Gossip, Vic Thrill, We Are Wolves, German Measles, Cause Co-Motion, Home Blitz, So Cow, Total Abuse, Dinowalrus, Clockcleaner, and Buttnaked Butthole
