The latest Sephardic musical talents in the U. S. will be showcased, working to reinvigorate the thriving Sephardic culture that exists and is waiting to be re-discovered. DIVAHN: Middle Eastern vocalist Galeet Dardashti (of the all-female ensemble Divahn) follows a family tradition of distinguished musicianship dating back to 19th-century Persia. Her new acoustic/electronic solo project "The Naming" draws inspiration from the musical and cultural landscapes of the Middle East and some of the provocative yet unsung Biblical women who lived there. Dardashti's sophisticated compositions in Hebrew, Aramaic, Arabic, Persian, and English lend traditional Jewish and Muslim texts compelling contemporary contexts, with songs evoking both the sounds of the ancient East and future West. Members of the SYREN Dance company will perform interpretations of some of her songs as they are played live. - www.myspace.com/divahn

ELECTRO MOROCCO: Electro Morocco is a unique mixture of energetic electro beats, middle eastern flavor, with a retro rock and pop edge. Their live performance combines live music with synced video clips that creates an unforgettable visual and musical experience. "Electro Morocco is what I would imagine would happen if Gwen Stefani met Balkan Beat Box in Tel Aviv". - www.myspace.com/electromorocco

DIWON: Diwon (ne Erez Safar) defies musical stereotypes. As a multicultural maestro, he produces a mix of Yemenite and Sephardic music blended with electro hip hop beats. Influenced heavily by his family that migrated from Yemen to Ethiopia and finally settled in Israel, his music reflects the multicultural tapestry that is Israel. His live set brings together textural fusions of live and recorded sound and often are accompanied by singers from various backgrounds. diwon's music, style, and presence get famous US clubs to resemble the craziest festivals abroad. - www.myspace.com/diwon
